Walter Place Christ Episcopal Church Strawberry Plains Airliewood Burton Place   Time Travel to the Year 1861 This is the third building erected for this congregation. It is of the Romanesque revival style and was begun in 1861. All construction ceased with the onset of the Civil War and was not finished until the end of the conflict with generous donations from churches of the north.
